Biography:
Ghazaleh Hanaei is an Iranian interior designer and architect based in Tehran. In recent years, her professional focus has been primarily directed toward interior architecture and experience-driven design, with an emphasis on the relationship between space, material, light, and everyday use. She approaches interior design as a layered and contextual practice, shaped by human presence and sensory perception rather than form alone.
She currently serves as Experience Design Director at Dorsa, where she is involved in guiding design concepts, spatial narratives, and the overall experiential quality of interior projects. Her work engages both residential and commercial interiors, seeking clarity, atmosphere, and coherence through careful spatial organization and material choices.
Alongside professional practice, she has remained connected to academic and research-based activities. With a background in architectural education and a PhD in architecture, her research has focused on social and cultural aspects of space, particularly within Iranian architectural heritage. This parallel engagement with theory and practice continues to inform her approach to design.
Through a practice rooted in attention to context and human experience, her work reflects an ongoing exploration of space as a quiet, meaningful framework for everyday life.
